1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: HR Expertise, Critical Evaluation, Ethical Practice | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
This interactive session will provide the tools to turn “no” into “yes” and help organizations thrive and avoid the riskiest behaviors.

Historically, HR has been risk-averse, tasked with guiding organizations away from all risk and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The new HR risk landscape has changed and risk may not always be avoidable. This session will take a look at some of the highest risk areas of HR including compensation, termination, and independent contractors. We will also identify the workplace realities and organizational benefits as well as the associated risks and mitigation strategies surrounding each of these topics to help organizations be productive and profitable while also helping to avoid the riskiest behaviors that often lead to litigation.
