Long-held beliefs about working for the government have been shattered and workers are bringing new motivations and expectations to the workplace. In these times of pension reform, reduced budgets, and restructuring of public agencies, employees may be frustrated, disengaged, and considering their options. Maintaining high levels of employee engagement during difficult times is tough, but not impossible. This session, designed for HR professionals from state governments, municipalities, school districts, utility districts, and other public agencies, will explore how agencies are maintaining high levels of employee engagement in the midst of a shifting workplace environment.
