This session provides practical solutions to business leaders and HR practitioners to create a culture for successful coaching as well as learn from successful coaching interventions in corporate Asia.

Track: International HR

The centre of gravity of the corporate world is shifting perceptibly towards Asia and the emerging markets. Growth is fast becoming the language of business and performance enhancement, leadership development and people are invariably its grammar and dialects. Executive coaching in corporate Asia is steadily gaining momentum. It is considered a powerful and enabling tool for developing individuals, teams and organizations. However, the emerging markets provide a highly cross-cultural environment and there are many challenges in the context of acceptance, introduction and effectiveness of the coaching methodology. In order to make executive coaching interventions effective and successful it is imperative to create a sense of readiness in the organization. How does one prepare the ground? Is there a structured, systematic methodology? Can one create a kind of “conditioning” for coaching implementation? How does one influence the stakeholders? Is there a way to convert coaching into a strategic solution for business, people and organization success? Creating readiness for coaching in organizations is a new and orderly framework that provides the recipe for executive coaching – “the curry, chow mein way”! This session will answer those questions.
