1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: HR Expertise, Critical Evaluation | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will address and analyze the Labor Board’s emerging view of the law, examine new regulatory initiatives dealing with election rules and provide advice on proactive steps to reduce risk.

The NLRB has been aggressively attacking a host of company policies you have relied upon for years as unlawful. Social media continues to be an area where protected concerted activity is used to limit your ability to address workplace concerns. And the Board is helping set an agenda for a re-energized AFL-CIO. This session includes  a detailed discussion of specific policies being targeted, how to revise them to be consistent with the law, an assessment of how to determine your organization’s risk to union organizing  efforts as well as suggestions  designed to eliminate such a likelihood through proactive measures. We will also discuss the status of the “persuader” rule and what you must do to comply with the Department of Labor rules plus much more!
