Monday 06/23/2014 02:00 PM - 03:15 PM   Add to calendar
1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: HR Expertise, Critical Evaluation | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will help you evaluate pay, time and attendance practices, and identify potential problems which could result in substantial liability.

This session will review the DOL’s latest enforcement trends and initiatives, as well as the most common errors make in classifying employees as exempt, capturing all “hours worked” for pay purposes, and calculating the overtime pay due. By understanding the errors others have made, often inadvertently and innocently, you will be better able to evaluate your payroll, time and attendance practices, identify potential compliance issues, and not run afoul of the federal overtime compensation rules.  Repeated on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
