Join Lars Schmidt, Founder of Amplify Talent and former head of Talent Acquisition & Innovation at NPR, as he shares how NPR’s employment branding and social recruiting strategy was built, implemented, and has evolved over time. First, with respect to the implementation of @nprjobs and later with #NPRlife, Schmidt will discuss the success of starting small and scaling a successful social campaign to build an employment brand and recruit the best talent. Learn how he utilized social to recruit talent against other organizations like Google. Schmidt will discuss how @nprjobs has shaped the social recruiting strategy of NPR, reaching over 20,000 Twitter followers, and how other platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Google Plus – and no social vehicles likes job descriptions, career sites, and recruiting cards have helped minimize reliance on job boards and saved over $100k in budget and resources. Finally, he will discuss the value of involving your employees in your branding strategy.
