Come meet Emily and Edward, two employees we will follow through their careers and lives and brainstorm together about how to accommodate their ever-changing needs. We will revisit the basic concepts and important definitions under FMLA, ADAAA, and Worker's Compensation laws. Learn about the areas where these laws overlap with each other and how to manage concurrent leaves. We will take a brief look at some of the states where local law can create even greater complexity. You will be able to use this knowledge in real-life situations to see when each law needs to be applied.
