Learn how the Chicago Cubs investment in their talent management strategy dramatically impacted their culture as well as their employee engagement.

Over the past three years, Chicago Cubs ownership’s investment in talent acquisition has resulted in a 25 % increase in game-changing new hires. In order to deliver the aggressive imperatives outlined in the club’s strategic plan, the leadership understood the importance of aligning goals and objectives, behavioral competencies, training and development as it continued to define “The Cubs Way.” Bryan Robinson, Vice President of Human Resources, will discuss how the Cubs advanced their performance management system to a digitized, coaching-centered process. In addition, hear how the team synthesized survey, focus group and benchmark data – using both historical perspective and an inclusive process – to create new Cubs Values representative of all functions and levels within the organization. Lastly, Robinson will talk about developing a partnership with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management to deliver specialized training and development for Cubs Associates at all levels, with focus on executive leadership, coaching and individual development, and functional expertise.
