Dollar General views its hiring within the military community as a distinct competitive imperative. To find and attract veterans and members of the military community, Dollar General uses targeted military recruiting, social-media campaigns, national and state agency partnerships, and actively features veterans on the company website. Over the last two years, Dollar General has hired more than 7,000 veterans and this key talent has provided critical and sustained impact to the organization.
