The Hidden Costs of a Bad Hire

Workplace Application: Learn about the five pitfalls caused by a bad hire, as well as three strategies to avoid them, to ensure you hire and retain the right talent.

Turnover can be very costly, from the money wasted on hiring the wrong candidate to the time and actual cost-per-hire expenses. While these costs are significant, the real loss to your organization is the hidden cost of retaining the bad hire. This session examines the dramatically negative impact bad hires have on an organization and how to prevent these situations from occurring in the first place. You will learn what a “rehire rating” is and how to determine whether an employee's rehire rating is negatively affecting your organization. This session will also show how to determine if your recruiting processes are connected with hiring the wrong candidates.
