Workplace Application:
Learn how you can use motivation-based interviewing to help you hire self-motivated, high performers.

You cannot accurately assess an applicant’s motivation using behavior-based interviewing. But you can do it using motivation-based interviewing (MBI) which assesses an applicant’s skill, attitude and passion – the three components found in all highly self-motivated people. This session will provide an overview of MBI and how you can use it to improve your organization’s quality-of-hire. You will learn:

  • Why MBI is more effective than traditional behavior-based interviewing for hiring top performers.
  • How MBI works to correctly identify high performers.
  • Understand exactly what "attitude" is and the significant role it plays in self-motivation, overcoming obstacles and in achieving goals.
