As the conflicts overseas wind down, thousands of soldiers are returning home ready to work while their family members are preparing for their return by taking leave from work. This session addresses both the job return rights of veterans under USERRA as returning veterans seek reemployment and the leave rights of family members under the FMLA, and gives tips on staying compliant with both laws. You will leave with the tools to be able to develop a strategy to implement a cohesive military leave policy at work that complies with both federal statutes and yet allows for effective management of the business.
