This session focuses on state law trends, including bills that would make additional states right-to-work states; restrict employers’ rights to access social media sites; allow employees to bring weapons onto the premises of their employer; limit the right of employers to conduct credit and criminal background checks; expand the groups protected against discrimination; and provide paid and unpaid leave. Review current bills from an HR perspective and receive ten recommendations to increase your effectiveness in terms of grassroots advocacy.
