The issues of human and labor trafficking have gained prominence in recent years as they are a crime under federal and international law. A recent Executive Order and proposed federal regulation focused on federal contractor requirements to root out trafficking among subcontractors. This session will explain the evolution of human trafficking laws and regulation and provide insight into how the issue is likely to affect employers in the future at both the state and federal level.
