W308
Monday 06/23/2014 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM   Add to calendar
0.00 Not Available for Credit | Competencies: Leadership & Navigation, HR Expertise, Communication | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
You’ll learn to think on your feet, handle tough questions and situations, and build rapport with any group—whatever its size.

How do you handle someone continually upstaging you in formal presentations to the executive team? How do you respond to someone citing data with which you’re unfamiliar? How do you react when executives change the course of your budget discussion in midstream? How well do you “state your case” to line managers or staff when proposed changes will mean extra work and shorter deadlines? Adding “‘the finishing touches” will help you be yourself in front of an audience of 2, 20, or 200. You will learn to apply a four-part model to think on your feet and build credibility during meetings, formal presentations, and even hallway interactions. Booher will show you how to respond to six difficult questions types with answers that enhance authority, increase retention, and build rapport.
