Workplace Application:
You will hear a review of recent executive orders and their impact on federal contractors.
In 2014 President Obama signed several executive orders impacting federal contractors. Two of the most notable include the order that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in federal hiring and for federal contractors, and another that requires prospective federal contractors to disclose all labor law violations from the past three years before they can receive a contract. Even the best employers have violations against them. You will learn the pitfalls to avoid and the next steps you can take to ensure that your organization stays in compliance.
