The National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) recent reports analyzing social media policies significantly restrict the provisions employers should include in employee handbooks. This session will include a detailed overview of the NLRB's reports and their effect on policies relating to confidentiality, appropriate workplace conduct, use of email/voicemail and social media, 'friending' co-workers and related topics. You will learn the common traps in this area and how to draft an employee handbook that complies with Section 7 and other applicable laws.
