Workplace Application:
Attendees will learn how to communicate about neurodivergence in the workplace so they can accommodate employees with neurodivergent characteristics.
Approximately 20 percent of the workforce is neurodivergent. Whether it's ADHD, learning differences, the autism spectrum, or other characteristics, neurodiversity has become a key part of developing an inclusive workplace. How do leaders and organizations navigate this new and seemingly complicated landscape? It all starts with a few basic concepts that enable everyone to contribute their best to the organization.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and understand different characteristics of neurodivergence.
- Communicate effectively about neurodivergence and neurodiversity on both an organizational and individual level.
- Create solution-based strategies and accommodations that will enable neurodivergent workers as well as learning how to combat unconscious bias and embrace neuroinclusion.
