In this session, participants will explore the critical intersection of equity and leadership, focusing on how to foster inclusive environments that embrace diversity. Participants will gain insights into equitable leadership practices, addressing bias, and creating structures that promote fairness. The session will highlight how leaders can leverage diverse perspectives to drive innovation and organizational success. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to champion equity within their teams and organizations, creating environments where all individuals feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the Foundations of Equity in Leadership:
    Participants will explore the many opportunities available to be bold and courageous when making decisions relating to equity and racial justice, focusing on how equitable practices impact organizational culture and outcomes.
  2. Identify and Address Biases in Leadership Decision-Making:
    Participants will explore common types of unconscious bias and learn strategies for mitigating these biases in hiring, team management, and decision-making processes.
