With the number of veterans entering the workforce, your organization is missing an opportunity if your talent management strategy does not include this untapped pool of potential employees. This session will help you understand the advantages of hiring veterans with disabilities and the capabilities that they bring to the workplace. We will discuss how to improve your company’s recruiting and employment of veterans with disabilities; how disabilities experienced by post-Sept. 11 service members, including post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), manifest themselves in the workplace; and the often simple accommodation measures you can take to ensure veterans’ successful transition to your company’s workplace and culture.
