Workplace Application: This session will highlight/describe the challenges facing employers with a Hispanic/Latino workforce.

This session will teach you about the Hispanic/Latino workforce and HR challenges regarding performance expectations, recruitment, retention, total rewards and employee relations. You will understand the 2010 census demographics and what you need to do to prepare for your changing workforce as it relates to this demographic. This session will help you analyze and evaluate the relationship between you and your Hispanic/Latino employees. Understanding these employees will help you balance their needs in order to achieve your strategic goals, objectives and values.

Di Ann Sanchez is the Founder/President of DAS HR Consulting LLC, a firm focused on creative and non-traditional Human Resources programs and services. Ms. Sanchez has over 25 years of experience, is a certified senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) and has held executive positions with both private and public companies including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, United Natural Foods, Inc., Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Delta Technology and American Airlines. She holds a Bachelor's Degree and Masters Degree and is currently pursuing her PHD in Organizational Management and Human Resources.

She was named by Hispanic Business magazine as one of the "Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business" in 2001, and as one of the "Top 80 Elite Hispanic Women" in 2002, and "Top 100 Latinas in America" in 2003 and 2004. In July 2002, she was highlighted in the Hispanic Journal magazine recognizing her accomplishments in Human Resources and Diversity at American Airlines. In 2007, she was featured in USA Today seeking to improve the current process of employment verification, and encouraging comprehensive immigration reform.  Ms. Sanchez nationally educates and speaks to business leaders on “Attracting, Engaging and Retaining the Hispanic Workforce” and “Why Can’t We All Just Get Along! – Diversity and Generations in the Workplace”.
