Workplace Application:
This session will discuss the powerful impacts of streamlining career development training and creating alignment with organizational strategic goals.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recognized that employees who understand their career options and take advantage of career development programs are more engaged, productive, and better equipped to support the agency’s mission. As a result VA created MyCareer@VA, a career exploration and development program for both VA employees and VA job seekers. By streamlining career development and aligning efforts with organizational goals, employees and job seekers are empowered by the opportunities at their fingertips. In this session you’ll learn how one agency revolutionized career development to better support the needs of the organization and our nation’s Veterans.
