Employees spend more time on social media sites than email. Organizations are exposed to workplace issues, disclosure of business secrets, and deceptive endorsements in social media abuse. Employers also use social media as a business tool. Advantages create new challenges in managing social media use, with limited legal guidance. This workshop will help you understand the concerns, exposure, applicable laws, proprietary information protection as well as endorsement avoidance. You will also learn the components and best practices of a workable social media policy to ensure your organization stays in compliance.
