Recently named one of the country’s top chief operating officers, Paul S. Amos II has led Aflac U.S. to more than $10.1 billion in sales since he was named President in 2007. In addition to overseeing all aspects of U.S. operations that include 4,400 employees and one of the largest sales forces in the U.S. with more than 70,000 independent sales agents, Mr. Amos focuses on developing strategies that boost U.S. sales, revenue and profits. 

With Mr. Amos at the helm, Aflac has been recognized annually as one of Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in America.  As a regular recipient of industry awards and honors, Mr. Amos recently placed no. 6 on ExecRank’s 2012 list of the top 100 Chief Operating Officers in the U.S. 

Active in the community, Mr. Amos participates in a number of professional, philanthropic, and education organizations including serving on the boards of directors for the Winship Cancer Center at Emory University, the Turner School of Business at Columbus State University, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southwest Georgia. He is also a member of the Georgia Research Alliance Board of Trustees and the Duke University Divinity School’s Board of Visitors.
